On August 22, 2025, Alvin L. Young Nazarene High School hosted its annual Orientation Day, marking the official start of a brand-new school year. The event was filled with excitement as students both returning and brand-new gathered on campus to reconnect, make friends, and prepare for the journey ahead. A special focus was placed on welcoming our new students and fresh faces, ensuring they felt right at home as part of the school community. Guided tours helped them get familiar with classrooms and key areas around campus, while ice-breaker games and group activities made it easy to meet new classmates and build connections. For returning students, it was the perfect moment to catch up with old friends and shake off the “first-day nerves” together.
Throughout the day, students were introduced to teachers and new support staff, learned about important school policies, and got a sneak peek into the exciting opportunities this year will bring for academics, clubs, sports, and beyond. Orientation wasn’t just about rules and schedules, it was about setting the tone for the entire year: a welcoming, supportive, and motivated atmosphere. By the end of the program, the halls were filled with laughter, conversations, and a shared sense of belonging. Both new and returning students left feeling more prepared, connected, and energized to make this school year the best one yet.
